We use renewable energy systems wherever possible and continue to buy 100% renewable electricity where we have responsibility for the supply.

We’ve reduced our resource consumption through adopting smart metering and switching technologies to remove dormant and zombie consumption of power.

Although we don’t use water in our business operations, we’ve introduced water metering, flow control, and water catchment to reduce our domestic water consumption.

We’ve installed solar panels at our flagship data centre facility in Birmingham that will generate 130 tonnes of carbon savings a year and allow us to pass green credentials on to our customers.

We’re also removing plastic packaging and wrapping from our end-to-end supply chain and single use plastics too.

We’ve made the most of remote meeting technology and continue to reduce the need for business travel where possible.

As our company vehicles finish their lease terms, they’re replaced with electric or hybrid vehicles. We also work with our suppliers to ensure they meet our electric fleet vehicle requirements.

Our Cycle to Work scheme, offered as part of our flexible benefits package, encourages colleagues to swap their car commute for a bike, and our colleagues’ efficiency ideas and suggestions are adopted wherever possible.

We are a zero waste-to-landfill business and ISO 14001 accredited. Our world-leading recycling facilities generate over 20 recycling waste streams, a service we’ll expand further through the opening of our new operations centre in 2024.

We’ll set science-based emission reduction targets in line with the SBTi (Science Based Target initiatives) criteria and recommendations to assess the embodied emissions of everything we buy and sell as well as the emissions we’re directly responsible for.

With partnership collaboration we can identify and prioritise opportunities to reduce our value chain emissions to support sustainability.

We’ve also committed to becoming accredited by EcoVadis and at SCC France we currently hold platinum status.
