Cloud Services
Connecting your Customers, People and Data for Secure Scalable Growth
Cloud solutions can significantly enhance the agility, flexibility and ability of companies in the travel, transport and logistics sector to meet evolving customer expectations. Despite clear benefits such as faster response times, increased competitiveness and cost reduction, companies have been hesitant to fully embrace public cloud solutions due to concerns about data privacy and security.
Adopting a hybrid cloud strategy could provide a balanced approach, offering robust data protection and the advantages of cloud technology.
As a leading digital services and solutions provider, SCC can provide organisations with a range of advanced cloud services that are designed to help you drive your business forward with innovation. From consultative engagements to trusted managed services across cloud platform, data analytics, app innovation and artificial intelligence, SCC can support you wherever you are on your digital journey.
Many companies in the travel, transport and logistics sector are looking to modernise their legacy infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency, improve security and meet evolving customer demands. Legacy systems often lack the flexibility and scalability needed to support new technologies and regulatory requirements, making them more vulnerable to cyber threats and operational disruptions.
Modern infrastructure enables companies to better leverage data analytics, AI and cloud technologies, providing more tailored and efficient services to customers while ensuring compliance with stringent security and regulatory standards.
SCC helps companies invest in scalable cloud platforms to migrate and modernise their infrastructure, setting you up for a successful future in the cloud. Our team of experts will consult with you on the best way forward using our pathfinder engagements to ensure you’re on the right track to success.
Hybrid cloud allows companies in the travel, transport and logistics sector to centralise the management of their IT environments, making it easier to implement security measures like encryption and access control across the entire cloud infrastructure. This approach mitigates the complexity and visibility issues associated with mixed architectures. Additionally, hybrid cloud solutions enable companies to comply more effectively with changing regulations, providing greater protection and security than traditional on-premises data management.
By leveraging SCC’s hybrid cloud offering, companies can achieve digital resilience, benefiting from the cloud's advantages while ensuring the necessary levels of security and governance.
Cloud platforms enable the rapid deployment of applications and services, allowing companies in the travel, transport and logistics sector to quickly adapt to market changes and launch new products. By leveraging cloud-based data analytics and AI, companies can gain deeper insights into customer behaviour, enhance fraud detection and personalise services, leading to improved customer experiences and operational efficiencies.
Additionally, cloud platforms facilitate experimentation and collaboration, providing a test environment for new ideas without significant upfront investment. This fosters a culture of innovation, encouraging continuous improvement and agility within the organisation. Through the integration of APIs and microservices, companies can seamlessly connect various systems and leverage third-party services to build comprehensive, innovative solutions that meet modern customer demands and regulatory requirements.
As a leading cloud partner, SCC will help you uncover these benefits and foster a culture of innovation, driving the success of your business through technology.

Outcomes we enable:
SCC has been working with the Holiday Park Operator since 2018 to transition to a cloud strategy, starting with the initial consolidation of their five data centres into two managed by SCC.
The Holiday Park operator originally consisted of two organisations that merged, bringing together their IT operations. As part of the merger, they wanted to find synergies of their IT and wanted a cloud provider to help them with this. They wanted to embrace and pivot towards a Software as a Service solution, Public Cloud and more public based services. By working with SCC they achieved this through becoming more hybrid and shrinking their cloud/data centre coverage.
Due to hard end dates on some of their data centre tenancies they needed to rapidly change and consolidate their environment, which would also give their IT consistency and help their operations to be more streamlined for their rapidly evolving business at the time, to provide services more efficiently for end users. There were over 140 servers that needed migrating and moved into SCC in a very tight deadline.
SCC worked with the Holiday Park Operator to understand their existing environment and by working together effectively we understood and captured the dynamics of the required transition activities to migrate their servers and services (137 VM servers and 12 physical servers) into SCC’s CV1 and Lyndon Place data centres. Additionally for resiliency a cluster pair or SCC’s physical Cloud+ servers were also delivered.
Our solution provided the Holiday Park Operator with a comprehensive Service Management wrap which covers Infrastructure Management, Service Desk, IPC Management and Service Delivery Management.
Moving to SCC’s Cloud+ Infrastructure has provided the Holiday Park Operator the ability to easily scale their IT infrastructure up or down depending on application of business requirement. It has started their journey to the public cloud by delivering a hybrid environment, where they can review, rationalise and consolidate the number of servers they have based on application usage. There has also been hardware refresh savings, as the hardware is owned and managed by SCC.
