Outcomes we enable:
Brewers have a deep attachment for their original head office location and wanted to remain this legacy despite a requirement for a widescale Wi-Fi upgrade. The Wi-Fi was currently not correctly designed at their head office, it was aged and need redesigning and heatmapping to ensure they had full coverage across the head office and the main warehouse. Additionally, Brewers needed to upgrade the Wi-Fi and install new counter terminals across their 190+ branches across the UK.
SCC provided a Wi-Fi upgrade to their head office, main warehouse and new structured cabling and deployment of counter terminals, along with ongoing Wi-Fi and cabling to any and every new branch that Brewers open going forwards.
SCC initially conducted a heatmapping exercise to understand the challenges the customer was facing with their Wi-Fi coverage. For cabling for the head office and warehouse, improvements have been made to the upgraded new kit, with better aesthetics. It was a case of needing a full redesign of structured cabling, with it being such an unstructured cabling environment. It also required significant investment, not only in cabling, but also with new communications cabinets, as a move to a hybrid working structure following the pandemic, was stretching the current capabilities. They needed to have stronger, more efficient Wi-Fi coverage that worked and operated properly and effectively.
Brewers growth strategy is to open 20 new branches a year and by working with SCC, they have no built a foundation for each new branch to have terminals, meraki aps, structured cabling and more efficient, effective and reliable Wi-Fi coverage.
Moving forward, Brewers now have standardisation of practices across the branches and in the long term this will give an overall reduction in cost and we will bring savings through this, by driving costs and commercials down.
There will also be major efficiency gains with improved performance for customers and employees across the business via improved, quicker, faster, better and stronger Wi-Fi and improved collaboration within the business for employees.
