This Magical Circle law firm helps the world’s leading businesses to grow, innovate and thrive. They have built a reputation for their commitment to think ahead and bring original solutions to their clients’ most complex legal and commercial challenges.
The law firm engaged with SCC on a strategic level to support them in the design of their new premises. This would have a significantly smaller floor space than the current headquarters and they wanted to explore how the space could be best utilised to achieve their strategic objectives whilst suiting the needs of all employees. The office would provide the law firms partners and employees the space and flexibility required to meet the needs of the firm’s agile working model and play a significant part in helping them to meet their commitments for carbon emission reductions.
SCC has a wealth of experience in workspace and collaboration technology and understands how best to integrate the technology into the workspace so that it becomes ‘part of the furniture’ and works seamlessly – simply and reliably.
SCC designed a collaboration strategy with the law firm, that would maximise collaboration across their boundaries, real or perceived and grow the business by enabling their employees to be the best they can for their clients. Improving collaboration in working practices allows for global capabilities to be delivered at a local level, with virtual teams coming together from across the world to provide a better service to their clients.
SCC also created an experimental workspace, which utilises the latest collaboration and audio visual technologies, so that the law firms employees could test out new and innovative ways of working that will inform decisions about how to optimally design and fit out the new headquarters.
Working closely with the law firm has allowed SCC Collaboration to build a good understanding of the requirements for this important project and deepen our knowledge of the customers overall goals so that we can help them to achieve them. We shared our experience and knowledge on best working practices, best set up for collaboration spaces and advice on how to train their employees to achieve their end goals.
