As consumer expectations are increasingly favouring greener solutions, energy and utilities organisations are facing pressures to deliver their services more sustainability or lose customers and market share. One avenue for carbon reduction is to utilise the latest in technology advancements, however with the current economic climate that is ever-changing and uncertain, many organisations are having to innovate on a limited budget.
At SCC we work to relieve the cost strain associated with staying ahead of competitors, by providing payment solutions which deliver flexibility and agility for technology purchases, allowing energy and utilities providers to invest in new technology in a sustainable way and release the value from past investments.
We have a range of services that utilise our relationships with trusted financial institutions and vendors, including:
Anything ‘as a Service’
Value Release Service
Software Payment Agreement.
As technology becomes increasingly connected and IT estates more complex, finding the skills for short term IT projects, can often be difficult and expensive. SCC's Flex resourcing offers tailored made resourcing solutions to assist energy and utilities customers in delivering critical business outcomes.
Utilising automation technology and our specialist staff, we can quickly find skilled resource to support our customers in the delivery of their short and long term goals.
Outcomes we enable:
At the time of this framework, the IT sector was facing a worldwide shortage of components. To combat this, working closely with HP, SCC placed an advanced factory order to secure devices for NPG. Once the formal paper was received, we had a two-month advancement, which enabled the successful delivery of the project.
Due to space constraints and security issues, it was imperative that the new devices were delivered at the start of each week, ready for the deployment. SCC ensured each delivery was tracked, signed and uploaded back to our Lifecycle toolset for compliance and reporting.
A large number of NPG’s staff were working from home during this project. We created a home delivery service for around 600 users. They were contacted by the designated SCC project co-ordinator and deliveries agreed, ensuring the users would experience a streamlined service.
Once completed, each device from the project had cover under a break/fix warranty provided by SCC on a next day swap out service. The manufacturer warranty does not provide a guaranteed fix, so SCC provided an additional warranty to give the customer this level of cover.
As an active VAR partner to NPG, we provide services to support them with workplace needs, IT asset management, software and more. SCC are vendor-neutral, meaning we can provide a wide range of EUC devices and peripherals. This extends to networking capabilities, infrastructure and audio-visual equipment. We can leverage cost savings due to our vendor partnerships and years of experience.
Our VAR capabilities with this NPG cover:
Support, upgrade and maintenance services associated with products purchased
Hardware configuration
Consignment stocking and deliveries
Technical support
Project management
Management information reports
Test devices.
We enabled a smooth transition of new IT assets to NPG's employees with ongoing asset management and technical support. The VAR services we provide give them access to in-depth knowledge and expertise with major IT vendors, strengthening their investments in technology.
