Outcomes we enable:
UU needed to improve the function of their IT systems across their entire organisation, at locations of varying size and remotely, to ensure their field engineers can work effectively. Project requirements included ensuring all Audio Visual (AV) systems function correctly and the provision of print services from UU’s HQ to its smaller locations. This also included end user compute, mobile device management, managed print, audio visual solutions, break/fix support, out of hours service desk, major incident management and project services.
We provide these services across all UU's locations and we manage the IT requirements of their field service engineers. SCC were able to ensure that end users, irrespective of grade or physical location are operating effectively with a high level of end user experience. We did this by minimising any form of downtime in the critical areas of end user experience, print or AV.
We provide approximately 3,000 laptops, 2,000 desktops and over 600 ‘toughbooks’ to UU engineers. All of these devices are delivered using our Lifecycle services, ensuring the asset is configurated correctly, refreshed and redeployed at the end of its useful life and recycled if it is not fit for reuse. All end user devices are covered with our break/fix service, meaning dysfunctional devices can be replaced in situ, allowing the user to continue their work.
SCC provide UU with a complete managed print solution across all their sites in the north of England. This includes their HQ, where SCC have a dedicated engineer for print and a dozen secondary locations, such as water treatment plants. The entire print fleet is in excess of 480 devices and are supported by SCC field engineers.
All of UU’s AV devices are supplied and managed by SCC. Our onsite team perform daily checks an all rooms with AV to ensure all items are working and that discrete items such as remote controls are in place. Our work has ensured that all AV solutions have had a very high reliability, uptime and customer use.
SCC are interwoven throughout UU as a trusted partner and supplier. Both through our continued support and advice made available to UU by our high-quality and skilled IT professionals and our involvement in UU CSR events, we have built a long-term, working relationship with UU.
