Cyber Services
Protect what matters most
Construction companies are at the highest risk of being targeted by cyberattacks due to their handling of valuable data such as project plans and financial information. As a result, taking action to protect sensitive information from cybersecurity incidents that can cause financial difficulties and reputational damage is crucial.
Construction companies are prime targets for cyberattacks, with ransomware, phishing scams and data breaches on the rise. Many firms hold sensitive financial information, project plans and high-value payment details but lack the cybersecurity measures needed to protect them. At the same time, shifting regulations—like the Building Safety Act—add complexity, making compliance difficult to manage. Falling behind on security and regulatory updates, whether it’s new zoning laws, fire safety regulations, or licensing requirements, can result in project delays, penalties and reputational damage. SCC Digital strengthens your security and compliance. Our managed SOC services protect against threats, safeguard critical project data and help you meet evolving industry standards. With threat intelligence, analytics and protection, we help construction firms stay secure and on the right side of regulations, protecting your business, your reputation and your bottom line.

SCC’s customer, a leading UK housing association was struggling with an expensive and complex cybersecurity setup. Their existing solution was costly, without providing enough value. With multiple security tools across their IT estate, managing cybersecurity was difficult and time-consuming. They also faced budget pressures, tight delivery timelines and uncertainty about the best way forward. Above all, they needed to strengthen their cybersecurity maturity to protect their own and their customers’ data.
The housing association initially engaged with SCC through an SCC Pathfinder session, a funded engagement designed to provide clarity, resources and strategic direction. During this process, SCC demonstrated the capabilities of Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender, helping the customer see how they could make better use of their existing Microsoft investment.
Impressed by the insights and potential, the housing association moved forward with SCC’s Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service. This allowed them to centralise security data across their entire IT estate, improving visibility and streamlining management.
By partnering with SCC, the housing association achieved significant improvements:
Better visibility – MXDR consolidated data from multiple sources, giving them a clear, real-time view of their cybersecurity status.
Stronger security maturity – They established a solid foundation for future cybersecurity growth.
More efficient IT operations – With SCC managing security monitoring and log analysis, their internal team could focus on critical priorities.
24/7 expert support – SCC’s team are an extension of their own, providing 24/7 protection.
Greater value from investment – They gained deeper insights into their security posture and return on investment, helping them make informed decisions.
With a stronger cybersecurity foundation in place, the housing association is now looking to further enhance data security, ensuring they continue to protect both their business and the communities they serve.
