Secure Your Success: Cyber Solutions for the Business Landscape of Today
With data-rich operations and a growing reliance on technology and digital platforms, organisations in the commercial sector are increasingly becoming a target for sophisticated cyberattacks. Attempts to target customer and financial data using ransomware attacks, phishing and data breaches are prolific and the potential damage to the bottom line and business reputation should not be underestimated.
Organisations are gradually taking measures to protect their businesses, with PWC finding that 90% of senior executives ranked cyber-risk in their top priorities for the year ahead [PWC, 2023 Cyber Security Outlook]. While implementing strong cybersecurity measures is essential, organisations need a partner that can help deliver the right solution and provide long term support to protect for the future. SCC offers a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services, designed to evolve with your security needs as your business grows.
Organisations need to digitise processes to remain competitive and continue to grow, however with this comes rapid expansion in their attack surface, with multiple connected devices, endpoints, users and third-party suppliers. This makes it more important than ever to make sure their business has an extensive solution in place that can offer suitable protection.
SCC’s Managed Extended Detection and Response service (MXDR) offers round-the-clock protection across your entire estate. This service ensures faster resolution times, lower security costs, and smarter proactive prevention tactics across your entire estate so you can rest assured your security is taken care of.
We understand that your security needs will evolve as your business grows. Our scalable solutions are designed to adapt to your organisation's maturity level. Whether you're a small business taking your first steps online or a multinational corporation with a vast digital footprint, SCC has the expertise to build a security strategy that protects you today and prepares you for tomorrow.
Conducting thorough due diligence on third-party vendors is essential to protecting your business. This includes assessing security practices, compliance with relevant regulations and potential vulnerabilities. Regular security audits and assessments of these vendors help identify and mitigate risks before they impact the business. Employing strong contractual agreements that include cybersecurity requirements and incident response protocols further strengthens this defence.
SCC can help organisations leverage cybersecurity technologies, such as continuous threat monitoring and automated threat response to detect and address potential breaches in real-time. We can provide an updated incident response plan, ensuring you are well-prepared to manage and mitigate any incidents arising from your supply chain.
SCC's Managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) Services includes our Aegis platform, which leverages advanced automation and AI to enrich, triage and respond to potential threats, reducing false positives and allowing our analysts to accelerate investigations.

Wilson James required 24/7/365 threat protection to secure their information, wider infrastructure and ensure the integrity of their systems against the new threats which emerge daily. They had lost confidence in their incumbent and needed to find a new security partner with whom to place their trust.
Wilson James wanted a service that was proactive to threat alerts and not just reactive once a problem had been found. They needed a provider with an established Security Operations Centre (SOC) and platform that would give them the confidence they had lost from their experience with their incumbent supplier.
Wilson James had made a significant investment in Microsoft licensing which they wanted to leverage. They collaborated with SCC via a funded pathfinder service to craft a Microsoft-first strategy which consolidated all of their security solutions and streamlined their operations. During the pathfinder, we presented our MXDR service which leveraged key Microsoft tools. This highlighted the advantages of our 24/7/365 SOC service, complimented by our threat intelligence expertise, which would enhance the data insights gained through their Microsoft ecosystem.
The engagement with SCC enabled Wilson James to consolidate their existing security tooling after a review with SCC on their current Microsoft licensing, which reduced vendor sprawl and resulted in savings across their current tooling.
During the engagement, SCC leveraged ‘Aegis’ - our proprietary automation platform - this helped to reduce false positives within the Wilson James’ security estate. We were able to fine tune and support a decrease in meantime to acknowledge threats, alongside remediation. Our integration with Microsoft Defender for Threat Intelligence brought in real time indicators for Wilson James’ to identify any possible threats. This enabled them to stay up to date with the latest adversaries and enrich incidents with additional context within the SOC.
SCC’s SOC provides Wilson James a more responsive and reactive solution for threat identification and resolution, providing themselves and their clients with protection 24/7/365. Darren Salmon, IT Director at Wilson James said:
“We are excited to have SCC as our trusted cybersecurity partner, benefiting from their ongoing investment in their Security Operations Centre. SCC’s commitment to evolving their services and providing a strong defence for customers in a complex threat landscape gives us the confidence to move forward.”
